SOPHIE 1851

of the Johann Cesar Godeffroy line was built at the Godeffroy shipyard at Reiherstieg from Hamburg,
and commissioned on April 24th 1850. She was the second Godeffroy vessel to carry this name.

She left Hamburg 5 - 05 1851 - Captain Decker, arrived Port Adelaide on 5-08-1851


This was the second of ten trips from Hamburg to Australia.
After leaving Adelaide she went to Sydney, then called at various harbours before going to Valparasio.
From here she went to Huasco in Chile, Callao and finally Islay in Peru before returning to Hamburg in 1854.
